Retainer Packages

All new retainer clients start on a 3-month package.

Types of work included in retainer packages:

  • Print collateral (brochures, stationery, business cards, signage, one-sheets, etc.)
  • Digital collateral (PDFs, one-sheets, presentations, etc.)
  • Social graphics and ads
  • Web maintenance/updates
  • Email graphics and templates

Types of work NOT included in retainer packages:

  • Brand and logo design
  • Animation, Motion Graphics, Video
  • Training
  • New website design

Package FAQ’s

What does priority turnaround mean?

Our retainer clients take priority over all other projects. We work hard to make sure you’re taken care of and have exactly what you need, exactly when you need it. You won’t have to wait on us!

We don’t charge rush fees unless work is required outside of business hours (9am-5pm central) or over weekends. 

What if if my needs change? Am I locked into my plan? 

We follow the golden rule here. If we were in your position, we wouldn’t want to be locked into something that wasn’t working, either! If your needs change, we’ll shift you into a package that works for you, or build a custom package that works for both of us. 

What if I don’t use my allotted hours? 

If you don’t use your monthly allotted time, we will roll it to the next month. Rollover hours are used after your monthly hours, and rollover hours expire after 1 month.

Example:

  • Jan: 10 hrs (8.5 used)
  • Feb: 10 hrs + 1.5 hrs from Jan (9.5 used)
  • Mar: 10 hrs + .5 hrs from Feb, Jan’s rollover expired

What if I need to exceed my alotted hours?

We’ll notify you when you’re close to reaching your package limit. If you still need work completed in the current month beyond your allotted time, you can give us the go-ahead to keep working, and you will be billed at a rate of $150/hr.  

When will I be billed?

We send the invoice at the fist of the month, due upon receipt. You can pay online with a credit card or bank draft, or you can schedule a check to arrive on the first of the month.

What kind of relationship is this?

We complete the work for retainer clients as independent contractors. This is NOT an employer-employee relationship and we are NOT work for hire.

Are retainers always available?

We have a limited number of retainer slots. Existing retainer clients will always have the option to sign new agreements. If we don’t currently have availability, we can add you to our waitlist. New slots are offered to the waitlist in the order they were added. 

When do I need to decide?

We need time to get to know you, your business, and your goals before we can work together.

Please contact us at least 5 business days before you need our services to begin. Tell us which package (Starter, Professional, or Premium) and what length of time (3, 6, or 12-month) you’d like to do, and we’ll begin your onboarding.

How It Works

Contact us and we’ll schedule a discovery call to learn more about you and see if we’re a good fit to help with your design needs.

We’ll share about our policies and answer any questions you may have.

All new retainer clients start with a 3-month agreement.

If everything is is good to proceed, we’ll send the agreement, the first invoice, and schedule an onboarding call. 

On the onboarding call, we’ll take a deeper look into your brand and business goals. We want to know you really well before we start working!

3.

Consider us your on-call design team! You can contact us for your projects as needed. 

We’ll help you establish timelines and deadlines for all deliverables.

We’ll also keep you updated on hours used, rollover time, and when your agreement term is coming to an end. 

 4.

Once your agreement term is over, you always have the option to re-sign and continue services. 

We’ll discuss any areas for improvement before we start a new agreement.
